Casino Gaming at South Beach
We operate a full casino floor at One Ocean Drive in Scanterbury, Manitoba, about 70 km northeast of Winnipeg along Highway 59. The main action is on the slots - more than 550 machines across the gaming area - and that is still the heart of what we offer on the floor. Electronic table games are grouped in their own section, so players tend to move around the property instead of staying at a single machine all night.
The building is set up so that everything stays under one roof. Casino gaming, hotel check-in, restaurants - all of it is connected, so you are not going outside to get from one place to another. Wheelchair access has been confirmed throughout the casino and hotel areas.
| Gaming Product | Details |
|---|---|
| Slot Machines | Over 550 units on the casino floor |
| Electronic Table Games | Dedicated area within the casino |
| Video Poker | Part of the gaming mix |
| Keno | Available on-site |
It is important to note that we only run a land-based casino. We do not operate any online gambling platform under the South Beach Casino & Resort brand. No web-based casino services are currently offered by us.
Planning a Stay-and-Play Visit
Our hotel includes 95 art-deco style rooms, divided into three main categories: deluxe guestrooms, junior suites, and one grand suite. Check-in time starts at 3:00 PM and check-out is at noon. When guests arrive before 3:00 PM, they can usually spend time on the casino floor or at the dining venues while their room is being prepared, which makes the early wait easier to handle.
One practical detail that is worth keeping in mind: when you are driving to a resort for the first time, it is safer to review your route the evening before. GPS coverage can be uneven in some rural areas. Highway 59 north from Winnipeg is fairly direct, but the Scanterbury turnoff sometimes comes up faster than people expect if they are not watching the signs.
A typical booking and arrival process looks roughly like this:
- Visit southbeachcasino.ca to check room availability and current rates.
- Choose a room category based on how many people are in your group. The junior suite usually suits two guests who prefer some added space.
- Complete your reservation through the official booking section on our website.
- Make a note of the 3:00 PM check-in time; if you arrive earlier, you can go straight to the casino floor or grab something to eat.
- From Winnipeg, drive along the Perimeter Highway heading east, then join Highway 59 North. Continue past Beausejour and follow the signs toward Scanterbury.
- On arrival, check in at the hotel front desk. Our team will provide any current promotional material or offers.
- Access to the casino floor is available directly from the hotel interior, so there is no need for an outside entrance.
- Settle any remaining room or incidentals charges by noon on the day you leave to reduce the risk of late fees.
Free Wi-Fi is available across the property for hotel and casino guests. If you want to confirm room details, accessibility needs or ask what promotions are active before arrival, you can reach us at +1 204-766-2100 or toll-free at 1-877-775-8259.
Dining and Amenities
Apart from the casino floor, we maintain a tropical-style indoor pool, Mango’s Restaurant, and the Blue Dolphin Lounge. The pool remains open throughout the year, which is especially useful during colder Manitoba months. Mango’s functions as our primary on-site restaurant. The Blue Dolphin Lounge is the central bar and casual social spot, and it becomes livelier after the dinner period most evenings.
Both the restaurant and the lounge are accessible through the interior hotel corridors, just like the casino.
| Amenity | Notes |
|---|---|
| Indoor Pool | Tropical-style, year-round access |
| Mango’s Restaurant | Main on-site dining venue |
| Blue Dolphin Lounge | Bar and lounge area |
| Free Wi-Fi | Available throughout the property |
| Wheelchair Access | Confirmed across the facility |
We promote the property under the phrase “Affordable Luxury”. In practice this means mid-range prices along with amenities you would usually associate with a resort. The overall look combines modern elements with more classic touches, most visible in the guest rooms and pool space.
